The boat is Lagoon 40, ca.6000NM.

This is not a paid position!

You may want to reconsider the time of year it is. This is today, and more will be coming.

This is the heart of Hurricane season. ARC is crossing in November.

Professional delivery but wanting 3rd hand to actually pay to keep night watches, take his share of cooking and cleaning, etc etc? Poor show. Tony

No, THIS place is for 4rth hand who wants to learn. I did it for 10.000 NM before I didn't have to contribute AND clean, cook, etc. Still long way to be paid.

Not that it makes much difference but is the boat a 42, as stated in the title or a 40 as quoted in your opening post?

Trying to figure out if a sloppy mistake, a mere typo or you're confused. Answer might help someone make a decision!

And to clarify, not being snarky, just wanting to know..

Knock it off you guys, Hanna is a professional delivery skipper who probably has more Trans Atlantics under her belt than most of you She didn't ask for guidance, only crew. Since she is European, English is not her first language, so what if she made a 2' typo while communicating in your language, not the end of the world!
I did many non paid deliveries prior to earning my license hence all those out there looking for trips to fulfill sea time requirements.

Hi Hania,
Can you please tell me if the cat is yours or are you just delivering it? I take it there will be no banned substances on board that will upset US customs and get us arrested. I am British, white Caucasian, 66 year old male physically fit, no medical illnesses at all. I only have a day skipper qualification. If I might be suitable to sail with you then I send photo and other info to your private email address. David

The boat is brand new from the factory without ANY substances on board . I am only a delivery skipper, not an owner. I think I have crew (one member has not confirmed yet) but please write to me, if you have B1/B2 US visa. I hope to do more deliveries in future so you may write anyway.

Re: Lagoon 42 from France to Florida - short notice

I think the overwhelming response to this advert, and where it was posted elsewhere, is that this is not a safe nor prudent time to make this passage, and the priorities of a company to have a yacht delivered isn't always aligned with safety of life at sea.
As for pay, yeah, it's a ridiculous proposal, but if the OP wants someone who can't calculate that it equates to a two month sabbatical and net loss of over 9k, that's their business...

Thank you very much for your responses. I have accomplished crew from those who e-mailed to me as mentioned in the advert. Sorry, if I missed the others. Their emails might have been lost in undefined messages or spam.

Hania,

To pay your way and risk hurricane season, someone is playing you...I think the delivery captain. Check to see if they wear an eye patch and have any teeth left in their head, wobble on a peg leg and know East from West with a wet index finger.
