Keys to Bahamas then possibly DR/PR

I'll be departing FL some time in late Feb early March for the bahamas. The plan is to get to the out islands then slowly working south in search of surf. Maybe I'll keep going all the way to Puerto Rico, but maybe I won't feel like bashing to get there.

I have some people lined up for portions of the trip, but other legs I'll be solo. Figured I'd put it out there to see my options.

3 month tour. 30' sloop. Non-paid/share expenses. The focus is adventure: surfing, fishing, climbing, etc...

About me: 32 y/o self employed male. Very fit and very adventurous. My website should give you an idea of what I'm into: www.highexposures.com

Chris, I am assuming that you will be departing from Lake Worth when you leave for the Bahamas? I will be leaving Daytona Beach around the 28th of Feb heading to Lake Worth then crossing. I am solo on a 33' Morgan and would like to connect with you about buddy boating during the crossing and beyond. My plan is to get over to the Abacos and possibly down to the Exumas. I am planning on at least 2 months sailing before I return to Daytona. If interested, send me a PM and lets plan on buddy boating for at least part of your trip.

Good luck. My wife and I are doing the same trip on our boat at around the same time.
Maybe we can catch up with you all. Maybe on to the DR. We are in the Keys.

Chris, if you find any good climbing let us know! We're heading over in October and I've only found info on some bouldering. Pretty low islands over all. Also let us know about you're surging experiences, we'll have our boards too...that pay should be easier :-)

Hi Chris. My girlfriend and I are both in our 30's, are surfers living in Cocoa Beach, FL and are both self-employed and pretty free. We are interested in sailing, fitness, adventuring, etc. We are constantly going on surf trips and will be back in PR early Feb, but perhaps could meet you somewhere and ride along for a bit, unless of course, you're looking for crew for the whole trip. It's funny. I'm about to look at an O'day 302 for myself tomorrow morning :P

Take care,

Mark

Chris,
You are one crazy motherf**ker
but so was my brother

he'd have climbed those rocks beside you without hesitation

Me?
It is impossible to do so with my brother, however, I'd love to join with you for the sailing for any and all possible adventure involved.

With absolutely no experience at all I'd love to climb some of those rocks as well. In my brother's memory, if nothing else.

Re: Keys to Bahamas then possibly DR/PR

Didn't mean to neglect this thread.

Panther: I'll be leaving from the keys, not lake worth, as I do not want to motor through the okeechobee waterway.

Panama: where in the Keys are you?

Fat Cat: looks like Eleuthera may have some seaside bouldering, though I suspect its more chossy than splitter.

Moonpie: definitely looking for various legs, not the whole trip. You'll be in PR for how long? Aguadilla? How was the 302? Feel free to ask or pm me any specific qustions about that boat.

Todd: where are you?

Re: Keys to Bahamas then possibly DR/PR

Hey guys, Where are you hanging out in Marathon? I am planning on leaving the Bradenton area around the middle of Feb, heading to the Bahamas, thinking of going around rather the waterway. Any suggestions for stops in Marathon. One of my legs will be from Marco to Marathon.thanks. mike
