Island hopping in the Caribbean

I am available immediately to join a boat island hopping in the Caribbean. I am happy to share expenses and contribute for boat maintenance. I am currently on St Thomas, USVI. Sailed here from La Rochelle France on a 41 ft catamaran. In September I sailed a 42 ft cat from Athens to Sardinia. In June/July I got my RYA Coastal Skipper cert in the Canary Islands. I am happy to join in on any maintenance tasks including bottom scraping, engine maintenance, wood work and going up the mast.

I am a 59 yr old US citizen, recently retired from a career in computers, most recently as VP Engineering or CTO. Mostly worked in the San Francisco area, but also in Germany, India, Malaysia and Kenya. I enjoy all water sports, hiking, cycling (in August I cycled 350 km down the Danube to Vienna).

My plan is to spend the next 6 to 12 months cruising on different boats, then purchase one in mid to late 2016. Currently leaning towards a used cat in the 40 to 46 ft range. I want to get more experience with the "cruising lifestyle" to help me sort out priorities for the boat (size, configuration, equipment, ...). I would prefer the Caribbean, but am open to other areas.

If you, or someone you know, are open to this, please contact me!

Pat

Re: Island hopping in the Caribbean

Just to clear up some possible confusion, my CF name, "Looking4Neptune" was meant to say that I am looking for the spirit of the seas. It has been (understandably) interpreted to imply that I am a woman looking for a seafaring man, and my real name, Pat, could be male or female. I am a 59 year old single male, looking for some good sailing, meeting people, and learning more about myself and the world we live in.

Pat, aka Looking4Neptune
