Not really been able to come up with any awesome answers yet, tho, for the multiple choice.

Please let me politely remind viewers that they must be thirteen or over to view this site.

Interesting... up to the Question Two at least, our selection of crewmates follow exactly the same criteria...

So... the question arises... are the naked sailing and sailing with dogs somehow connected, or is it pure coincidence only..?..

Interviewing for crew Portland, Or to Mexico then beyond

Ok, the answers we come up with just don't fit, or seem too politically incorrect... And tbh we never had the guts to ask anyone yet. Just watch the reactions on the boat.

The link between the dogs and naked ladies? They're all on the boat, and part of the experience, whether the crew likes it or is mortally offended by it!

So.... Perhaps:

A) ignore it
B) get excited and run to hide in your berth
C) cover your eyes and kneel down to beg forgiveness.

I dunno. They just don't seem funny.

My answer would be "depends on the situation" Should I happen to encounter aforementioned young lady sans clothing aboard someone else's vessel, and I were there as part of the crew, I would politely inquire if she needed help applying sunblock, to prevent sunburn or skin cancer. If it were my boat the answer is "Noneya".

Ok, you can probably come. I think I might use that as answer C.

Thanks. I have spent some time in the middle east, does the air smell like an exotic spice to you? I was blown away by the whole experience. I've always wanted to spend more time there on my own and not tied to work. Passage through the Suez canal was a special experience. Sorry for the thread drift, I just noticed you were in Oman. I know you been there for awhile, I just haven't been paying attention.

"I would just say beware of the "great cooks, who don't know sailing but don't mind their hands dirty" as per one of the repliers" PS37

I feel I should reply to this quote. All I was saying I have been on the water and am willing to learn. If a dog can be a crew member, why can't someone who knows how to cook and not afraid to get her hands dirty?
With so many "strange" people online I have a tendencies to limit what I expose about myself. Wouldn't you?

Kewl, spent some time hauling cargo to Indian ports. Left a ship in Alang on the beach. Have not yet made Thailand, it is on the top of my list.

Been to Thailand a couple times. Very cool place. Also Indonesia is wonderland for a sailor... 17,000 islands, spectacular blue seas with shallow reefs that drop off to deep canyons where ribbons of multi colored fish flow on forever, and some of the most friendly people in the world. You do need to watch your back though, or rather watch your pockets.

Both are on my cruising list.

Not so much with these dogs. I'm embarrassed to admit that once, in the early days in Oman, I was playing with the pups on the empty pontoon. Or so I thought. Turns out the pontoon wasn't empty after all, as four navy blue guys emerged from the darkness. The dogs barked a little, with their bright white teeth showing clealry in massive smiles from the silhouette of their big black sleek selves.then they ran to welcome them. three out of the four coastal police ran.

I took the dogs back to the boat then went to their boat to contritely apologise. I also explained that they should never run from a dog, and should rather stand still and shout stop as they pull their gun. They looked a little surprised at that, but it got them over their embarrassment!

Okay damnit, I am just getting too antsy to go. I have a couple of more hitches before I can retire, and all this talk about Thailand and Indonesia is getting me revved up to go for a walk about. I hope we cross paths out yonder, somewheres. I'll say "howdy." Or "Ahoy", "Avast" or some other nautical greeting.

I would wish them a good morning/afternoon/evening and then go check my meds to see if I'd taken too many. Or caution them to not get too close to the galley stove whilst frying bacon.

I'd whip out Penthouse Forums and ask her if she'd like to read them with me.
