Re: I need a crewgirl

Well, this chap's offer surely should appeal to all those newbies who are looking to get some sea miles with an experienced and knowledgeable skipper. And with the promise of profit sharing from the new marina, well, how could anyone not be interested?

A laugh a minute, right here on CF!

Cheers,

Jim

Re: I need a crewgirl

I hope my gf never finds this site. With the extreme disrespect so many posters show to bow babes, I think she'd probably stop sailing.

My gf likes and uses the term "bow babe" to describe herself and her gfs, so I don't see it as demeaning. She doesn't understand the difference between true north and magnetic north, but she knows port from starboard, cooks, cleans, knows to keep her head clear of the boom, doesn't flip switches just to find out what they do, and generally doesn't break things. Her mood tracks the weather. I can't complain.

Re: I need a crewgirl

I'm quite certain that if I used the term "bow babe" around my wife, there would be a beating.

You know, now that I put it into those words...

Oooohhh, I can hardly wait!! I wonder if the polyamorous policy extends to anchorage neighbors?

Hmmm... perhaps I better run that by the Admiral...

Cheers,

Jim

Wifey hates sailnet, cruisersforum and sailinganarchy for this reason and has retreated to the cruising women sites. She's a smart and gorgeous 37 year old. The lonely old misogynists who put her off are missing out! There is good reason there is a dearth of women posting here...

Re: I need a crewgirl

I prefer the term "Boat Bunny" to "Bow Babe". BTW it was a Boat Bunny who coined that term.

Re: I need a crewgirl

"Boat bunny" sounds fine to me, but I'm sure my gf would not take to it. Bunny in Russian is кролик, which is ordinarily masculine and has the same connotation of fearful that "chicken" has in English.

For the several posters above who wrote mean-spirited things about my gf, I hope you will consider how you would feel if someone had made such mean-spirited comments about a person close to you.
