In the end of August I am heading south. Slow trip from Connecticut to
Newport News. Plan spending some time sailing Delaware Bay and
Chesapeake Bay before starting down the
ICW in late October. I could use one person especially sailing down the coast of
New Jersey. Will provide
food and drink on-board but must have own
money for any onshore excursions. I would like to have an older gentleman or perhaps a
Vietnam era veteran to crew as I am 60 and the
boat is a 25 ft. Rhodes Meridian Seafarer. She is a pocket
blue water cruiser without a lot of the now a days desired amenities like
shower,
refrigerator,
freezer an all the stuff the well-to-do think are necessities.
If any other small cruisers are heading down about that time I would be interested in sailing together. We could use the
autopilot and take turns on watch while one slept a little. Everything usually works out as long as we stay alert and insight of each other.
