Re: Gold Coast to Whitsundays

I think the $350 would keep people away. They are already giving their time as deck hand. Though my next trip will cost even more but the 'boat' has half a dozen restaurants, non stop entertainment........

Re: Gold Coast to Whitsundays

Sorry but I am poor. I cannot pay for your food. It was a share expenses trip. For a backpacker, that's cheaper than a Youth Hostel. Anyhow, its over. We're in Gladstone, after 10 days in Lady Musgrave atoll. FYI a trip for 4 hours to Lady Musgrave costs $250.

I think that is the most truthful and hilarious reply I have ever seen as regards crew members.

Re: Gold Coast to Whitsundays

I'm stuffed if I'd pay to help someone else out on their boat. Seems very odd to me.

If someone asks me, if I could organize a trip for them, then I'd expect them to help out, but otherwise, no. What an odd request.

Hi joey, I'm afraid you may miss the next leg. I'm in Gladstone scheduled to leave sometime after Monday 21 July. The exact date will be partly weather dependent but primarily determined by the high cost of a mooring here. I cannot remain past Monday or Tuesday night unless some crew arrive.

However we might meet up at Airlie a week or so later.
