Ft. Lauderdale to Panama

Departing around mid April. Up to 2 more crew needed for sailing watch shifts. You pay your expenses. Sailing experience required for at least one of the crew. Does not have to be a couple; the boat is a 46í Catamaran that can accommodate each of 2 more crew in separate double cabins if need be (already have 2 couples). You will likely be able to stay on the boat prior to departure if we encounter a delay. Email: kiteboardingparadise at gmail dot com

Kiteboarding enthusiasts welcome. We might have the opportunity to kite somewhere since we are kiteboarding enthusiasts ourselves, but don't be disappointed if we cannot since we are simply trying to get the boat set up to start the business.

If you are going to Panama and want to kite board, go to the San Blas Islands. Absolutely the best kiteboarding place I have seen. Folks from Europe are starting to come there for the experience. High winds, reef protected flat warm water, great scenery.

Yes.. this is one of the prime locations we plan on putting on our agenda. The skipper is from Panama and had kited there.

Unfortunately we will likely be late in the season before we are able to start the charter, so San Blas will have to be on the list for next year.

Keep an eye on the web site: KiteboardingParadise.com

Many people (including myself) consider the sport to be spiritual, even though most consider it an extreme sport.

Probably not the right forum for this, but the business we are setting up will provide everything you need to learn kitesurfing and in a perfect setting. We supply the skipper, cook, all food and drink, kiting instruction (if you need it), and all the kiting equipment so you don't need to buy or bring your own (great to save those extra and oversized baggage charges with the airlines). Keep your eyes on this site kiteboardingparadise.com for when we will set up our reservations. When we have reservations initially set up, we will be offering many staggering discounts. Register on the site to get notifications.

Probably run around the west side of Cuba then straight down to Colon.

If you feel the west end of Cuba ia a better way. Why do you feel that way? I am also leaving for Panama on a 46ft cat. in mid to late April. I am almost to the point I will make the decision on which direction as I am leaving Miami, and the 3 day window.......i2f

Jim,

Let me re-phraise my question. Where will you be putting the boat while in Fort Lauderdale. If you need recommendations or help while you are here let me know.

canceled

The trip has been canceled. The owners decided to skip the US due to costs involved. (It's much cheaper to fly a few times from Panama to Ft. Lauderdale on Spirit Airlines to get equipment than to try to keep the boat in Ft. Lauderdale.)

Sorry to all...
