Crew Wanted: Ft. Lauderdale to NYC -- Competent Captain needed

Purchasing a Moody 36' CC in Ft. Lauderdale. Need a competent captain to deliver her to NYC. Depart July 1. I'll be part of crew. Paid position, just don't want to get screwed… Send resume, references and/or if anyone has any recommendations, I'd greatly appreciate.

I'd like to stick close(er) to shore BUT make it sooner than later to NY. What's the approx time frame, assuming 12 hrs./day. ??

Close to shore is slow, Gulf Stream is faster.... Usually I figure 6-7 days direct from PE to NY for a 35' waterline... more for a coastal trip and much more for the AICW. Why 12hr days and not right thru? Also, I charge more if the owner is aboard, many don't....

I would plan 7 to 9 days and a must run 24 / 7. Never stop or pull in unless there is a weather or health issue.

I would be interested if you have not found someone. Have done that passage many times. Will be in Ft Lauderdale on June 21 and could meet and discuss the trip then. 100 Ton Masters with sailing endorsement and over 80,000 offshore miles. The fastest way to do this trip would be to jump in the Gulfstream and either round Hatteras if the weather is favorable or jump in at Beaufort, NC and run up the ICW to Norfolk and back outside.That route would add 3 days to the trip.
