Crew Available: From Europe to South/Central America

Hello everyone,
I'm looking for an atlantic crossing.

It would be perfect for me to leave in early November 2014.
I'll be honest, I'm not very experienced, but I'm planning to go to South America in the best way possible, that is by sailing.
I know that there are a few rallies leaving for that route in a few weeks.
Any advice you may have to join those crews, or where to look, would be very appreciated.

I'm 29, Italian, I've got experience on a sloop in Sardinia, done dinghy racing in Ireland, and windsurf here and there. I'm a quick learner, I'm humble and quiet, no problems in staying awake long hours overnight.
I'm happy to contribute with travel expenses, but a luxury cruise is out of my budget.
