Experienced deckhand available west coast USA

Hi,

32 year old Australian male with permanent resident status in US. Been working as a deckhand for over 3 years on a 100 foot Horizon power yacht. Based in Long Beach, California. Hard worker, fast learner, honest and reliable non smoker. About to undertake a basic diesel mechanic course this month and am planning to have my STCW 95 done sometime this year. The boat I currently work on does not leave dock very often, so I am wanting to gain experience and sea time. My boss knows of my desire and is happy to give me time off work to do some short trips. I don't actually have any experience with sail boats, only boats i've been on are power, but I am wanting to learn and if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Happy to do unpaid work to start off. Local day sailing would be fine. Also any trips that have legs that either start or finish somewhere close to southern cal.

Thank you for reading and have a good day.
