Crew Available: Day sailing/coastal cruising around Maui

I'll be arriving in Kahului, Maui on October 30th, staying for one week. Would love to get out on the water around the island, even if just for a day sail. Willing and able to pay my share if going somewhere for a night.

Took ASA 101 at the end of August. Sail about 10/hrs per week since then. Taking ASA 103 (coastal cruising) on Oct. 13-14.

Just thought I'd throw this out there and see if any sailors needed a crew member for a day or two. Thanks!

You might try the Lahaina Yacht Club. There is not much cruising in Maui as there are precious few anchorages.

There are some commercial tour boats (sail) at Lahaina Harbour and Maalaea that go out for short sails. They can be quite crowded.

Thanks so much for the info! I prefer staying away from touristy stuff when I travel, so I'll definitely check the yacht club. Thanks!
