Live in Charlotte and spend most weekends at outerbanks. Can fly into southport to sail. Certified through coastal passage and just looking to get out and enjoy sailing as well as ad more experience.

Re: Day or multiple nights Southport, NC

My wife and I have taken ASA sailing courses through 103. She has some issues with heeling but would be fine with a more experienced captain! We live in Salisbury NC but would be interested in sailing with you. Preferably for more than a day considering how long the drive is for us.
Thanks

Garth

Robot,

My boat is in Southport, too. And she's not the easiest to single-hand, herself. But, don't tell her I said that.

Let's trade off crewing for each other. Have your peeps PM my peeps.

Re: Day or multiple nights Southport, NC

Hi Ken,
I sailed on a friend's boat up on Lake Champlain for many years and have the desire to get back into sailing. I am semi-retired with four days off each week and living down in Myrtle Beach. I would love to get a little bit of coastal experience as I look endlessly at boats on-line trying to figure out what I want and what will meet my long term needs(extended cruising up and down the coast). Drop me a line if I might be of assistance to you. Thanks. Jim

Sorry I missed this reply, Slawek. Illinois is a long way to drive for a week of sailing, no?

I'm scheming for a trip to the Bahamas, starting around November, which will be 2 months or more, and then round trip home. Might be looking for someone with experience outside & overnight for that business, though.

To the OP, Robot, are you still here? Never got a PM from you...

Re: Day or multiple nights Southport, NC

I'm always up for a weekend sail or longer. Boatless since I lost my BCC in Port Royal Sound, I'm itching to get back out on the water. Drop me a line if you need a crew. I live roughly a days drive away in Hiawassee, GA.

Hi,
Long way yes, but what would you do if you love sailing and you in the middle of huge piece of land?
Unfortunately two month is too long but Bahamas is a dream trip :-)
Regards,
Slawek

I'm a very experienced sailor living in Wilmington. I used to be a sailboat captain. I haven't connected with the sailing community here since moving from Ft. Lauderdale.
