I'm looking to start in September/October 2007. I can basically leave from anywhere, I just need a paid job with room and board. Thanks!

Allison,
I would be happy to offer the room and board, but unfortunately, cannot afford to pay anything. Not sure what size craft you're looking for, but you might consider investigating the Windjammer Barefoot cruise ships. I have a good friend who fell in love with the tall ships and the Caribbean, and now she is a purser on the Yankee Clipper out of the Grenadines.

Otherwise, I'ld vote with CSY and Gallivanters, and suggest you head for Florida, either Ft. Ladeeda, or Miami....

Best of luck,

RichT.

Check your Yahoo. I sent all the info you could ever need to get started being professional crew on yachts. I also sent an eBook.

Good luck, and watch out for weirdos.

I think you should find her a position on your vessel, Trim50. Can't you just imagine her walking around the streets of, say, Ft. Lauderdale or Annapolis in her crew shirt reading "Trim, First Mate?"
