Tomwarbs we went to Albania last year and yea we heard all kinds of horror stories before we got there but ignored them and had a great time. We left the boat in Orikum the only real marina, and traveled inland to a simply wonderful country. We saw more American flags there than we saw in the USA. A lot of English spoken, it is very very safe and the people are really trying hard to create a great country. It is a bit rough in spots and we did not visit Durras as we heard that the port is a bit on the very rough side but will visit this year.
We almost never visit a place twice but are going back to Albania.
