Crew Available: Crew Available Looking to Advance Experience

My wife, my son, and I plan to sail our boat south in the fall of 2014, and we are looking for experience. I am available now, for a stint of 2-3 weeks, as I am self employed. My son will be available also, at the end of the school year in June. We are both hard workers, with beginner-intermediate experience (we've both taken lessons, and I've raced, and sailed dinghy's since childhood).

I know we're not the ideal offering of crew available, but if you remember what it was like, when you were wondering "can we do this", I hope you will help us to answer that question.
