CPR/AED, Rescue Experience, USCGAUX training

Hi; I'm Carl Spencer Krendel,
I have experience as a professional lifeguard, volunteer with the Coast Guard Auxiliary, a CPR/AED certification, Coast Guard Auxiliary Communications training, and am an excellent swimmer. I have experience crewing and skippering up to 30' boats, and want to work on your cruiser. I would like to learn to skipper a cruiser, and am happy to be your crew. My Merchant Mariner's Credential endorses me as a food handler, and I'm something of a spearfisherman. I'm also fluent in Spanish (as a second language). I do request a small salary in addition to room and board.
Thank you for reading thus far,
Carl Spencer Krendel

Zeehag,
I'm happy to inform you that to me, your 41' yacht is a ship of size and wealth.
Sincerely,
Carl Spencer Krendel

Thanks Zeehag. If you want me to work on your ship, however, I would need to be concerned about what I might do on shore later. I promise you that I'm a fun companion, but I just can't afford to give away the service I have invested in being able to provide.

Re: CPR/AED, Rescue Experience, USCGAUX training

i know there are folks out here who do use paid crew..they will come along...
i am shameless and find derelict sailors with attitudes to help me out when i need help..
last year i met 3 different boats with paid crew, so i know someone will pipe in...

Re: CPR/AED, Rescue Experience, USCGAUX training

Zeehag,
Thanks for the information. I hope that we can meet some day (or night). I'm renewing the thread to clarify that I can only accept paid positions, not because I don't love to sail, but because I have invested my time and money in becoming a certified and capable professional in a field that I do enjoy immensely.
Sincerely,
Carl Spencer Krendel
