Chesapeake Bay to Newfoundland

I am sailing my Vancouver 32, Rincewind, from Chesapeake Bay to Newfoundland leaving mid-June 2010, and returning mid-August, 2010. I am looking for up to 3 crew members who would enjoy some time up north in the fog! Weather permitting, the first leg will be direct from the Bay to Corner Brook, NL. There are several possible itineraries once in NL, based on weather, crew, and schedules. Rincewind will return to Chesapeake Bay in mid-August. Crew members are welcome for any part of the trip (Ches. Bay to Corner Brook, sailing in Newfoundland, St. John’s to St. Pierre to Ches. Bay). Crew members will be responsible for any land or air travel expenses, but the only expenses on the boat would be a portion of food costs. Please contact me if you are interested and would like more information.

Bill

Hi Bill,

I'd be interested in possibly joining you for your journey north (and possibly back depending on timing) if you're still looking for crew. I didn't grow up on the water, but have some sailing experience, and would love to get some more. I recently retired from the Air Force and was hoping to find someone to crew with to get in some open water sailing before I have to go back to work.

I'm a very active, physically fit guy, mechanically inclined, and very eager to learn, so I think I can be very helpful around the boat. I'd be glad to provide my email or cell number if you'd like to talk more. I'm also available on Skype as well.

Let me know if you'd like to talk more.

Thanks,
Scott
