Crew Wanted: Chesapeake and ICW

[The Way]

Female sailor wanted for trip down the ICW this fall (2011). Need crew to help with steering, sails, docking, etc. Suggest we try out some shorter cruises around the Annapolis area this summer first. Separate sleeping cabins. No sex expected. Share food expenses but nothing else. (Plan to return by rental car leaving boat in Florida.)

Boat: 36' Dickerson ketch (see picture in profile). Sails like a dream, easy motion. Simple but with all essential safety gear. Good engine.

Me: 60 yo man, vegetarian plus cheese/eggs/milk, non-smoker, good cook, beer and wine in moderation. Prefer consensus decision-making or teaching to giving orders. Safety is important -- I do not leave port if the weather looks unsafe. 20 years sailing experience.

You: Female, vegetarian, loves books and classical music. Drinking/smoking OK, but no drugs. Sailing experience not important if you love being on the water.
