Catalina 42, Florida to NYC then Lake Champlain

Around end of May (27-29th) ... Leaving Fort Pierce for NYC. Will stop along the way or pull in for bad weather only; otherwise straight thru... 6-10 days to NYC... then motoring up Hudson River 4-5 days to Lake Champlain ... (crew can depart in NYC if wish).
No salary or travel expenses paid. However, all food aboard covered.
Positive attitude, flexibility with dates, and ability to keep watch are required. Contact me with your personal details, experience and time limits.

Good Morning, My honey do list is heavy this spring or i would be heading your way to help you and your boat. I work out of a marina that is on Hudson River in Kingston NY which is about half way up from NYC to Albany. So if you need a hand at that part of your trip let me know.

Re: Catalina 42, Florida to NYC then Lake Champlain

My friend Beth and I are looking to crew. We are looking at going to FL within the next couple of weeks and we could meet you anywhere on the way?
We are slightly experienced. We know how to manage sails, have done a few trips from Santa Barbara, CA to the Channel Islands and have raced a handful of times. We are comfortable in high seas.
Thanks.

Re: Catalina 42, Florida to NYC then Lake Champlain

mickyboone,

I did the reverse trip several years ago as captain of a 75' custom built ketch (Southern Cross). One of the most memorable sailing experiences in my life! The Hudson river and lower Lake Champlain were the highlights. Many good memories. I wish you all the very best!. I currently reside in Charlotte, VT but will get back to the sea in the near future.

Best,
Shel
