Brisbane to Pittwater - Late November 2010

So after almost 6 months I am finally able to bring our yacht back down the coast. But the wife is not able to come with me due to work commitments. I am looking for someone willing to take the helm for a couple of hours per day to relieve me and share with the running of a 38 ft timber ketch.
I plan to go extremely easy on the boat, so will not be a test of endurance. Looking for someone with a bit of experience, M or F no problems.
Please pm me for more details.

January Sail

Hi. Hope you have more success than me.I have been trying for months to get someone to sail with me from Gladstone Qld to Adelaide.
Have one interested who cant do the full trip.Heaps of other "Tyre Kickers" who say they are interested, when I send them an email about the trip I never hear from them again, others want to be paid.one was looking for $100 a day.I will provide all food and even fly him back to his start off point.Looks like a Solo job.
regards

One word. Backpackers!!!

If you get to the local hostels and put a notice up you will have an infux of young healthy pommies wanting an adventure. Not all are experienced, but if its someone to grab a coffee and pull a halyard they are great.

A mate of mine took his Hunter from syd to Townsville with just him and assortment of backpackers along the way. Apparenty a couple of the females became quite freindly.. cough cough ehem. Bonus!

Good Luck

Am I the only one who has a hard time trying to figure out if a post is recent, or ancient?
There doesn't seem to be any indication as to when the post was actually made, just when the last reply was made, etc.
Not complaining mind you, I couldn't build a site this good if I tried.
Just a bit confusing sometimes...

Also....since I'm a sailor, AND a backpacker, it looks like I should be headed to Australia...

Yeah every post has the date and time stamped on it

Also for those interested in the original post, I helped damo sail his boat down the coast. Successfully I might add!

Hi All
Just to let you know that the thread should now be closed. Handmer (if that is your real name ) and I had a great time sailing down the coast. Unfortunately with no chef on board, we survived on stagg chilli and muesli bars!
Luckily there was a pizza shop in close proximity to Coffs Harbour Marina!
