Hello !
Like last year, we organize a crossing of the Atlantic back to
Europe, from the
Bahamas to the
Azores to Marseille (France) onboard a fully equipped sailing
boat Dufour 385 with a very experienced
skipper (6 transatlantic s) speaking fluently
English & French
- May 3 to May 29, 2016 - Bahamas (Nassau) - Azores (Horta)
- May 29 to June 21, 2016 - Azores (Horta) – France (Marseille)
Crew can participate to either of both legs.
The sailing
boat Dufour 385 is already sailing in the Bahamas, has 3 double cabins, and is fully equipped:
autopilot,
solar panels,
satellite telephone and
EPIRB beacon.
The crew on board consists of our very experienced (and fun!)
skipper as well as 2 to 4 crew members. Crew members are required prior sailing experience and to be willing to participate to all tasks onboard.
Leaving
Nassau, Bahamas, after the last days of preparation and extensive groceries, you'll
head directly to Horta in the Azores. Arrival subject to
weather expected for May 29.
A one week "break" is foreseen in the Azores. Then you'll set sail to
Gibraltar Detroit, mythical entry point of the
Mediterranean Sea. Depending on
weather, stops can be planned in Cadiz, Malada or
Barcelona, before reaching Marseille between 18th and 21st of June.
Participation to the boat expenses (fuel & berthing), skipper costs as well as
insurance is set as follows:
• $ 300 for May 3 to May 29, 2016 - Bahamas (Nassau) - Azores (Horta)
• $ 350 for May 29 to June 21, 2016 - Azores (Horta) –
France (Marseille)
• - $ 200 discount for the ones participating to both legs
Daily
food expenses expected around ~$10 per day
If you have interest, don't hesitate to reach out to us,
Thanks & enjoy your sailing
