hello everyone!
I'm Thomas from
Croatia, at the moment living my dream called
1000 Days of Summer, been traveling for the past 9 months from
Croatia to
Australia, plan to spend couple of months here and then
head towards east.
I'm a travel writer, so to speak, and I have been using alternative ways of traveling and writing about it. mostly it involves hitchhiking, couchsurfing, working in exchange for
food and accommodation, etc.
I will be leaving
Australia in November/December and heading towards
New Zealand and after that towards Americas. the idea is to do that by crossing seas and oceans on a boat. thats why Im here
next couple of months I will be researching things about sailing, and from the things I read so far, this forum should be very handy.
does anyone know - what would be the best time to do the OZ-NZ crossing, and is there the "best time of the year" to do the Pacific crossing from NZ towards south/central/north America? I know its not the most popular
route, and that most of the sailing is done westbound, but...
