Hi All,

I’m a 27 yr old engineer with 10 months Leave of Absence from work and hoping to join a captain and crew for adventures ANYWHERE / ANYTIME!

I have saved up a good ‘kity’ to last me for 10 months and am willing to help with reasonable costs of having me aboard, and contribute to reasonable communal / boat funds. As of January 1, 2012, I can fly anywhere and join as crew.

Please PM me if you have a crewing opportunity and would like to chat to see if I am a good match to be your crew.

This is not a new idea for me, I’ve been dreaming of sailing away for 4 years (see my original posts: http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ice-24282.html).

Here’s the experience I have with sailing / boating:

2011 – Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club, Toronto
• Introductory Crew Member
• Toronto Harbour License
• Skipper 1984 C&C 25 (keelboat co-op program ABYC)
skipper of C&C 25 (twice a week for the season)
multiple solo sails
Sailed across Lake Ontario (Toronto to St. Catherine’s) and back with novice crew.

2010 – National Yacht Club, Toronto:
• Introductory to keelboat sailing course
• Keelboat race crew

2009 – Keelboat race crew

2005-2011 Power boat owner / operator (~19-25 ft powerboats)

1995-2005 Sailed CL-16 (Dinghy) Solo

Some other reasons why I’d make a good crew member;
• Money (I have some.)
• Smart
• Experienced
• Good looking (experienced wing man)
• Responsible
• Fun
• Bronze Cross Lifesaving Certification
• Fun
• Can Cook
• Catcher – Fish / spearfishing
• C-card diver
• Kitesurfer / sailboarding

I'll keep my eyes open for those looking for crew! If nothing turns up, I'll fly somewhere warm and start visiting yacht clubs until I find someone willing to take me on!

We are looking for crew. We are currently in the Canaries and will leave in a week or two for an Atlantic Crossing to Carribean en route to Australia via, South America etc. We have a comfortable and beautiful 44 ft. Lagoon 440 Catameran (google Lagoon 440 for pictures, there are lots of them.) The captain and current two crew are great. Anyone would like. This would be a shared contribution of $70 per night. Is that of interest? You will love this experience.

Doing an an epic 8000 nautical mile trip non stop LA to Phillipines. This will be a record setter. Am doing a route that only the Spainish galleons have done 300 years ago. To my knowledge no one else has done this. Right now I am looking for some one w/ experience
