Post 1st Mate - Carribean

Hi all, LT I hope to buy my own liveaboard cat one day, ST need to learn a bit more island navigation and liveaboard boat systems, I chartered and captained a 38 french cat in the BVI some years ago. I have skippered quite a few different boats, sail and motor, over the years. I owned a few offshore speedboats, currently have one in repairs and ready to ship somewhere in the carib.
About me... versatile, humorous, well read... I recently finished traveling all over south america in a camper, so I learned a lot about liveaboard electronix, after installing a solar panel. Over the years picked up a lot of mechanical and elec exp., I had my own dinghy when I was about 8. out of Southport harbor, Long Island Sound. Do I fish? Both rod and spear.
I love to dive the reefs, just with goggles. I can freedive to about 50 feet, without fins. I graduated U of Colorado with a french degree in 1990, now also speak fluent spanish. Daresay Ive been to about half the countries in the world over the years. ASA keelboat cert. PADI, CPR/1st aid ex lifeguard. Worked in NYC for the french gov., and then into the finacial world. Dont have any anchors at the moment... cept a Peruvian girlfriend who cant swim.
I am a bit of an video elec specialist, with the latest in 12v. I could put a good 18" system in your boat that uses only 45 watts for less than 200 dollars. !!! I dive the anchor, anywhere... of course theres probably more. not yet married, no kids, sold the house in 04, and looking for the right place to live, Ive visited most of the islands in the carib over the years from the keys to the Bahamas, probably my favorites, San Blas Panama to the indian islands of Panama, Honduras, Belize, to Martinique, Dom rep. all the USVI Puerto Rico would like to visit les Roches, in Venezuela. I concluded a while ago most places worth visiting are accessable by boat! Oh, also worked in 5 star french restaurants, so I can cook pretty well, too for up to prolly 8.
