Yanmar 2 QM15 diesel engine, complete with transmission, control panel , spare starter. I removed the exhaust manifold and cleaned out cooling passages and replaced with new gaskets. New mixer elbow for exhaust installed, new zincs installed. replace oil line and have all new high pressure fuel lines . Changed oil and Transmission fluid. Primed the fuel system and engine started right up with no smoke or bad noises. Original owners "claims " engine was rebuilt, I have no paperwork, but it does run well.
Two problems: Engine needs a new alternator , old one is on engine but is faulty. Maybe it can be rebuilt. Second problem, I ran the engine out of fuel and now I can't get the injector pump to work. I would overhaul the injector pump to be sure there is no problem in the future.
Engine is located 25 miles west of Macon GA in Yatesville,GA Asking price is $1300.00. I can place engine on a skid and shrink wrap for you, it will have to ship truck freight COD to a business address for the best rates. I believe the wgt. is 300 lbs. Thanks, I need to go back and re post that I don't have any controls or cables, that should read instrument panel. I'd rather not break it up , Thanks for the offer.

I'm interested. Is it fresh water cooled? Did you do a compresion test and what was the results? Has is ever been submerged? Did you run it in fresh water or salt? What's missing?

It was raw water cooled, it is very clean in the water passages though, came out of a Hunter boat from the Charleston SC area. I don't know how to do a compression test on a diesel engine, but I'll tell you this , I'm a pretty healthy guy and I can't turn it over with the crank unless I pull the compression release lever. I got the manual , a starting crank and a crank for doing service work. it needs a new key switch. No it was never submerged I'll be home this week and post some pictures. It's never been stored outdoors either. I have no engine control cables but the brackets are on the engine and no controls. I've seen these for sale for as much as $4100 used I think that's crazy. The price may be low but it is definetly not junk. I value my reputation to much to scam somebody. Thanks for checking in. Carl

PS I've sold quite a few used sails on this site ( I think the ad is still up though old) and everyone was very happy. That's the way I like it
