WTB: Sony ICF-SW7600GR World Band Receiver

Hi Folks,

Do you want to sell me your Sony ICF-SW7600GR FM Stereo Multi-Band World Band Receiver Radio with Single Side Band?

They are hugely expensive in Australia and Amazon.com wont mail it here. Ebay is another choice.

But I was wondering if someone has a used unit you may be willing to part with. Why you would want to sell this amazing radio is beyond me! Maybe you have a HF radio transceiver so dont need a receiver any more. Or finished cruising ..... perhaps you are nuts?

Of course I will pay cash and postage.

My old one was a borrow job and I had to give it back. So I have done the last 1,000 miles without one and need the weather!

I would really appreciate it if you have one tucked away somewhere gathering dust.

Hola

Do you recommend this radio. It appears you like it. Do you recommend over the Kaito 1103. Thanks James

I finally bought my boat.. Sail closed yesterday. Wanted a Beneteau 473 but cost prohibited me.. I bought a Hunter passage 42 fully loaded with everything from davits, ssb, watermaker, Raymarine c120 , flat screen tv. cutter rigged sloop, dingy, liferaft fully equiped....you name it... Low hours on engine and genset and well taken care of..

Got a real deal. Hunter is popular with some and not with others. The new name is Kokomo after the Beach boys song.

Regards James

It's a great radio, James. But if you've got a ssb you really don't need one.

The Sangean 909 is an equivalent, some think even better, radio than the Sony 7600. C. Crane Company - Sangean ATS909 Shortwave Radio - Toll Free (800) 522-8863 Probably about the same price new as the Sony but would give you another option for a used single side band short wave receiver. Radio Shack also used to sell the Sangean 909 radio rebadged as a DX398. I bought mine new for discounted to a $100 when Radio Shack stopped carrying them. And no, I don't want to sell mine.
