Dixie, if you are going to put it in your Vanguard, you might think more in the 15 to 25 HP range. 40 HP is way more than you can use in a Vanguard, and will make your engine compartment very crowded. If it is for some other boat, just ignore what I said. ___Good Luck. _____Grant.
