Re: Wilcox Skipper Parts.

I believe aftermarket parts are still made for that head, even though the original manufacturer, Wilcox & Crittenden is out of business.

Rebuild kits are available.

I believe someone has or is manufacturing non-OEM aftermarket parts. Try a Google search.

That is an excellent head. I think the most reliable one there is. I have one onboard.

Re: Wilcox Skipper Parts.

The pump bore on mine was somewhat corroded with deep pitting from none use before I bought my boat. I did a full rebuild and used a hone to resurface the bore. This increased the inner dia. but with a new piston seal I have had no problems over the last 3 years. I would try that before replacing the casting.

Peace

I have rebuilt my Skipper head. I honed the inside of the cylinder and filled the heavily pitted areas with JB weld.
In testing all seems just fine apart from some slop in the handle shaft. Still there are no apparent leaks and as someone else said," this thing could flush a crocodile "
