fyi i picked up a 4.5 metre carbon fibre surfsailer mast free recently and have been using it to pole out my genoa - fantastic bit of kit, check internet recycle sites in your area - for sydney try 'freecycle'

That's cool you live in G'ville. I live out Newberry road in the Jonesville area.
The whisker pole is about 21-23 feet and is a padeye type. Don't know the brand it looks like maybe Mack or Mauck something like that.
