Wanted: Need help with Navico 5500 Tillerpilot

Acquired one with a boat I just bought. It seems to work fine.

The Owner's manual is mostly destroyed, and I am looking for someone who has the manual who might loan it to me for copying.

please e-mail me at altu64@hotmail.com.

Thanks.

Simrad could not help.

The TP5500 is about 15 years old and is now considered obsolete. And Simrad does not have any manuals for it.

But thanks for the idea.

I -may- have a manual for you. I use one of them Navico tiller pilots, bought it new in 1992. I LOVE it! Works Great! Still works great!

1 click - 1 degree change
hold down for double beep - 10 degree change
Direction & Start/stop - 90 degree tac.

Hope this helps. Were still unpacking from the move to the PNW. When the boat stuff uncoveres I'll see what I can do in digging it out.

Hi Jim Lee, reading your reply to Speedoo I too have just bought a boat with this Tiller Pilot 5500 but with out a manual. I used it for the first time and it was fine until it started reading "error". I think the compass needed resetting or something! However, did you manage to find your manual for yours and if so could you email me a copy please?
If not any ideas where I might get a copy from?

Regards Brian

Did not receive it. When did you send?

I think you'd have to put up a link here, if you have a site you can put it on.

I also just received this one as a "gift" from the previous boat owner. The connectors are messed up, so I brought it home to see if I could repair it. Could I also get the manual sent my way?
