Sailing Books

Hi list
I have a bunch of older sailing books that I'll probably never read but would be useful to someone. They came with our sailing boat we just purchased recently. Our boat is in Puerto Vallarta and we live in Canada. We go down often and I was going to bring them down whatever I can fit into our bags each time and just hand them away. Does anyone know of a flea market down in PVR or close to there that we can take these to when we 're down again. Or somewhere I could drop these off for anyone who wishes to read them. I'm sure there is something aroiund Puerto Vallarta, Las Cruz, etc.

Re: Sailing Books

I'll make a list and post them here. The original owner had passed away and his widow gave me all of these books. He was big into celestrial navigation and some serious reading books. None of which I am into.

Re: Sailing Books

I will pay you a hundred US $100 bucks for whatever is left after sending Richard those he wants, for my sea scouts to read. These are old standby s from my own youth! Great, timeless, information collection.

Re: Sailing Books

I would like to thank you all for the replies and the private messages. I'll go through them all here and respond to you all. I'm not interested in any financial gain from these as they came with our boat and I just wanted to pass them onto the community. Maybe we can do a trade for something. With that in mind I am after something that was missing on the boat and that is the two charts covering the area around PVR. 20338 and 20107 I believe. They can be copies which is fine. The Mexicans who were looking after the boat for these people kind of, well things disappeared in the process of transition. The original owner had passed away and these fellows kind of helped themselves. Sad but true. Many things were missing. We purchased the boat through the widow. Shipping costs on the books will be the issue and if I get covered for that I am happy. I live in Alberta so you have an idea where they are coming from. Our boat is in Puerto Vallarta. By the looks of the response I will have to figure out how the best way to split them up. Some are in excellent shape where others are in poorer shape. Still all readable, just covers and first few pages might be a little rough. A lot where in plastic zip lock bags that were carried aboard. Again thank you to all you who responded.
