Roller furling complete or parts wanted

I have a hunter 37 c
it has an existing Hyde furling system
the Hyde drum has some serious damage and needs to be replaced, it is not repairable.
the hyde furling system uses a solid aluminum "pole" as a front stay
and does not use the normal cable stay

so i need a used hyde furling drum or a drum that i can use to replace the hyde drum and keep the solid forestay setup, or i need a complete replacement

please let me know what you have that would work, or if you have some advice on what would work

Re: Roller furling complete or parts wanted

If you want to go to a cable forestay (which I would do) then the field broadens. I have a used Facnor furler which would fit your boat and it installs OVER cable, turnbuckle etc. Does not require going up the mast thought replacing your forestay would. I bought it used and missing a few pieces which I have acquired. This unit would be $3500 range to buy new.

I'm teeter tootering about whether to go ahead and install it for a furling staysail/storm jib I haven't acquired yet, or skip the roller furling and get a hank on sail.

For me, a single-handed older female with a 44 ft sloop, the roller furling is the best option for storm conditions, provided that it works. That would make it a clean swept: main furls into the boom, furling genny and then a furler on the jib stay.

But, I store the dinghy on deck etc... You know how the inner dialogue goes. I am also close to you (S GA) so you could come have a look see if you want.

PM me if you want.
