Rigging wire and winch

I have 84' of new 9/32" 1x19 wire, no ends, Defender Price $309, asking $235.
Complete shroud, 5/16" wire, turnbuckle with toggle, swaged stud and eye,
47' 4" eye to eye. Defender price $305, asking $235.

Older Lewmar 44 self tailing winch, chrome body, in good condition. Best offer. If it doesn't sell I am going to strip loose parts, and sell the rest for scrap. I would rather it be used ona boat. Located in Coonecticut, western Sound.

Re: Rigging wire and winch

Hi-

I'm interested in the winch. I have no idea how old it is or what they're worth. I was hoping to find a self-tailer for the working winch on my cabin top for under $200. Am I in the ballpark?

Thanks-

chris

Re: Rigging wire and winch

Yes, you certainly are in the ball park. It is a Lewmar 44. My boat is 1982 vintage, and I have to assume it is original. I took it off when I installed an Andersen Electric winch on the cabin top for my Leisure Furl system. It works well, has the amount of pitting that a winch of that vintage would have. If you can PM with your email address, I will try to get you a picture tomorrw.
