Purchased this life raft 8/15/11. Just returned from my Caribbean trip and do not require this for local sailing. Raft is certified till 8/14. Search all you want and you will not find it for under 1875.00 plus life raft shipping charges that add 160.00. There are several rafts for sale on sites like ebay,but I could not find one with current certification. Before my trip I wrestled with the life raft no life raft decision. I felt far better having it aboard. You will too.

The best shipping I have found so far is 198.50. That price requires me to drop off and you pick up at a local frieght delivery point. House to house is 380.00 or more. When I purchased it it was 160.00 direct from the manufacturer. Its so high due to the CO2,flares. rubber cement in the repair kit and lithium in the lights.

check with interstate bus lines like Greyhound... they move freight at good prices... one just needs to drop-off / pick-up at the nearest station. They won't worry about inflators because it isn't flying with low-pressure risks.
