Raynav 550 LORAN
Since the USA has discontinued LORAN, I finally pulled our RayNav 550 off our boat. The unit is in good shape and was very reliable as a back-up to GPS, generally giving positions within 1/10th of a mile of the positions reported by WAAS GPS once local corrections were applied. If anyone living in Europe or elsewhere that still has LORAN enabled would like to have the unit, I will be happy to send it to you as "ship's stores in transit" if you will pay the shipping. It seems such a waste to discard good equipment that someone might be able to use to good advantage.
