Plastimo 8-Man Trans-Ocean Liferaft - $550

Plastimo 8-man raft serial #16242/S/0086 believe Mfg. in 1998. This is a very rugged "tube-within-a-tube" construction with an insulated inflateable floor. I purchased in 2002 and during recert all the inner tubes and the firing head were replaced under warranty. Raft was in top shape when I headed out in 02. It was on deck in the weather for the 4-years I cruised and has been in my garage since late 2006. The last inspection was 2005. It's in a hard container and comes with a S/S deck mounted holder. It's time to leave the garage and find a new boat, asking $550 OBO. Raft located in Rye, NY

from past recerts think the base is @ $350/$450 and for "private use" you are not required to replace all the dated supplies, except battery . This is a solas model and has food/water/flares (the 10 BIG flares alone run $300+) and if all items changed could cost another $400.

I saved all flares from 2002 recert and set several off at a recent USCG flare day (all worked fine) My plan was to insert a streamer into raft instead of any flare upgrade. I poped one of the plastic strapes and all looks GOOD inside.

Thanks for looking....... Don

Can you tell me what model it is and the dimensions of the valise? Does the valise mount on your deck? Do you include all the mounting hardware etc?

this is a Transocean "WAY" offshore raft. you can review the Plastimo attachment I posted of go to the Plastimo.com site and see the latest data. The hard container is 35X18X12 and sits in a S/S deck holder that "hard" clamps it to the deck. You would have to flip the holder straps and pull the RED cord to inflate it. You can see the deck holder in one of the photos. Let me know if other questions.... Don

This is exactly what I'm after. Sold!
I presume you will freight it free of charge? New Zealand's not that far away.
If only.
I'm on the search if anyone out there has something similar for private use. 6-8 man. Prefer deck mounted
