I still haven't sold this yet (though I haven't really tried after the first attempt), so I am lowering the price to $500. This is a complete system ready for deployment. If interested, contact me at colemj at comcast d0t net.

One last time before I quit trying:

How about $400? That's going to be as low as I go. It is a complete setup with nothing needed to add. Contact me at colemj@comcast.net

Oh yeah, this thread got long, so go to the top for a description and pictures.

3/8" nylon double braid

Do you think the 3/8" double braid nylon line would be strong enough for a 35 foot catamaran?
How about a 30 foot 7000 lb cat?

Well, I don't really know. The setup was originally bought for a 34' Prout catamaran and was sized for it by the manufacturer. 3/8" double braid has a tensile strength of 5,000lb, but I don't know how that translates into working load on a sea anchor.
