There's a place in Bellingham makes b/w charts 1/2 price of NOaa. Electronic cmaps are $200.

i left sd with only one chart--the one to get me to ensenada...LOL... i found 17 charts for sale in ensenada for 120 dollars total. gooodluck--you will find charts. there is one used treasure chest in sd now--he carries charts. if you have one to get you to sd, then you are set.

We bought our catamaran in San Diego last fall and it had about 10 paper charts of the Ca cost to Catalina Island , I don't know why so many paper charts of the same thing.
