Barlows are good. I have about six of 'em (non self-tailers, mind) on my nearly 40-year-old plastic vessel. They break down nicely for service, which I do every second year, and take Lewmar or Arco pawls and springs. Arco in Australia either absorbed Barlow or does the service for them.

People confuse them with Barients, however. Not the same thing.

Guy who wanted them decided more of a project to change them out than he wanted to undertake.

We're under a storm watch here in chilly Toronto, but if they're still available in a day or so, I'll nip down to the yard and check the size of mine. The Barlows sound about right, but I dunno.
