Old Raymarine Auto Pilot control Head Unit

Hi there
This is my 2nd request, so please ignore if you've already seen this message. Harry, thanks so much for trying so hard for us.

Basically, we have the Raymarine ST6000+ auto pilot for a tiller. Everything works except the head control unit. The new ones have a different wiring system and work through a computer. We don't have a computer with our system and don't really want one. So, to replace new we have to buy a load of expensive stuff we don't need or want.

It is quite an old model so I've attached a photo of the back of our control unit. If you have one of these lying around and would be willing to sell, then please do get in touch.

Thanks so much

Julie

I believe that you can also use a Raytheon/Raymarine ST600R autopilot remote. My understanding is that it is not only a remote, but also contains everything you need to actually control the autopilot.

Re: Old Raymarine Auto Pilot control Head Unit

Julie,
What you describe and the picture you provided sounds like an ST4000+ not the ST6000+. The ST6000+ I'm familiar with requires a course computer. I do not believe the ST600R will work for you as it is just a SeaTalk control head and also needs a course computer.
I just checked and there is an ST4000+ control head for sale on eBay: ST4000 PLUS Raymarine / Raytheon / Autohelm Autopilot Control Head, | eBay
