North Sails 180 Genoa for Roller Furling

Brand new, installed on the boat one time. The previous owner of my Hunter 34 purchased this sail for $3000.00. I have sold my boat and have this sail and many other items I will be listing for sale.

excellent condition, selling for $1000.00 plus actual shipping charges or you can pick up.

I honestly wouldn't know. I bought this Hunter 34 to refurbish and sell, which I did. I only sailed it a few times and don't know what a Tri-radial cut is. Sorry that I can't be more helpful but I'm not much of a sailor.

It would be helpful to both you and prospective buyers if you gave the three dimensions (luff, foot, leech) as it might fit other boats.

I'm sure it would, if I only knew what luff, foot, leech was. I will research those terms and maybe this weekend lay the sail out and measure it. it's been sitting in my house for two years, I guess its about time I did something with it.

Re: North Sails 180 Genoa for Roller furling

The luff is the straight edge that fits in the roller furler slot. The leech is the angle edge that runs from the top of the sail to the bottom. The foot is the lower edge of the sail. Most sails that ft roller furlers have a round cord inserted along the furler edge that is a #6. It's important that you are able to specify that this sail has a #6 insert. Also, a picture of the sail would be helpful.

Re: North Sails 180 Genoa for Roller furling

Jetlag, you can call North Sails if you know the name of the previous owner. They should have a record. If you cant find anything, I can find the standard rig dimensions for the boat online.

Do you know if it was a fractional or masthead sloop? Is the 180 the % percentage size of the sail? (that would be massive) or some other label found on the sail?

Thanks!
