Machine Tools/Milling Machine

I know this is not a boat but I've restored a whole boat and built rigging and deck gear with this tooling.

I've already sold the lathe but still have some other items that need to go so I can sell the house and head for the S Pac. If seriously interested, you can PM me and I will send you more picture links. Prices are negotiable. All this stuff is in excellent condition.

Looks nice. I'm afraid to ask how much.

Re: Machine Tools/Milling Machine

Yeah, this stuff is worth serious money. The mill is a Bridgeport clone but at 150% in size and weight and of a higher quality.

Sorry about the sideways pictures. The CF upload system doesn't translate/read totally correct. But I'm trying to avoid ebay.

Re: Machine Tools/Milling Machine

If your asking about the Mill, what you see in the pictures was $23K 13 years ago. And it's still in like-new condition, some of which has only been used once or twice.
I'd like to get $18K for all that's in the pictures below.

Re: Machine Tools/Milling Machine

It has to kill you to part with these.

I'd love to have the mill but it won't fit in the engine room. I've had my eye on a tiny Brigdeport since I used in in Collage 35 years ago - about 18 inch cube.

Presently I have access to the tools whre I work & sometimes a machinist. That's me 2nd deck front & center.

Yeah, I just sold my lathe the other day and it was like selling my soul. I watched as the truck pulled away like it were a death in the family.

But, as Janis use to sing "Freedom is another word for nothing left to loose" and I can't go sailing with all these possessions that have to be maintained.

Re: Machine Tools/Milling Machine

I just got an offer on my house so now it has to go. So I'm dropping it to $16K. After the first of the year, if I can't get it sold, it'll go to a consignment dealer here in Seattle.

Re: Machine Tools/Milling Machine

I feel for you. I had to go through this same process with mostly the same tools in 2006. Sold everything prior to going overseas for 3 years prior to retirement. Had two welders, 36 in. metal lathe, drill press, metal cutting, band saw etc. I almost cry when I think of these tools I sold. This thread brings back disturbing memories.

I have a little 3", 4 amp handheld produced by WEN made in Chicago. Kinda light duty, good for surfacing but not for taking off material.
