Lots of used Teak

I'd like to replace the entire deck of my Westsail 32, currently teak, with non-skid. PM me if interested. Boat is in Perdido Key, FL. I can send pictures...

i cry for you. teak is so awesome looking, and non-skid, when properly done.

Just looking for some cockpit teak. What is the thickness and width of your teak?

Re: Lots of used Teak

I'll be back at the boat and can measure, on Monday. The width varies, but the thickness is uniform. If you PM me with an email I can send pictures. This teak has faded, and the caulking needs to be redone. It would be 20-25k to have someone else do all the work. And I'd rather not tackle it myself. And under bare feet, its very hot to walk on, unlike a white fiberglass deck.

Here is something to consider - if your teak is in good shape and you don't like walking on it because of the heat, you can cover it with canvas, bug screen or glass cloth and paint it or paste it down with lagging material(airobol). This last well, is comfortable under foot and cool AND cheap. This is an old method of covering decks and its easy to apply and you can paint in anti skid as you like.
Something to think about. I did this on a boat years ago and it looked good and lasted for years.
