LEWMAR HATCHES

4 newish ocean series hatches. I say 'newish', because they where installed for about 1 year but the boat never made it to the water. They where also installed using silicone sealant so it was super easy to lift them, they where hardly bedded down at all. They include screens and screen holder, the screens are cream colored. The hatches are flange style.
3 #10 and 1 #30
One of the #10's has a mark on the plastic. I say mark because it doesn't look to be a scratch. Looks like something white was dragged across it. Mark about three inches long.

retail Defender and Jametown

#10 _=opening of 10 1/4" x 10 1/4" $366.00 x 3= $1098.
overall 13"x13'
Screen 87.00 x 3= 260.
#30 = opening 13"x 18" 504.00
overall 16x 21"
Screen 99.62

Total $1955.42

Re: LEWMAR HATCHES

You got as far as fitting the hatches and then gave up? What happened to the hulls?

Re: LEWMAR HATCHES

No I didn't give up on this boat. The previous owner, last year, installed the hatches. Then sold the boat to me. Let me start over. The boat in question is a Kadey Krogen 38. When they built it they, KK, built the 4 hatches out of wood with i little tiny round glass in the hatchs. Other guy was on the right track opening it up, he put these hatches on top of the hatchessss, are you following me? So I came along, removed the Lewmars. Removed all of the wood on top of the hatches and installed plexi tops. So that's the story. I can see what I'm doing down below and I have some very nice, unneeded hatches. Interested?

Re: LEWMAR HATCHES

O' just made the connection to the Cat. I was building a Chris White Atlantic 48. I gave up on that dream. I was warned by Jim Brown years ago to not try to build such a complex and expensive boat. He said, "Go find one of my Searunners, buy it and go sailing". But when your headed for fifty, you still think your indestructable. Between life and business time went away. Had bunch of medical events and ran out of time. So, I've changed directions/goals, bought this tank, the KK38, its really a great livaboard boat, and hope to hit the water by the first of the year. And then over to the Bahamas for 90 days or so. As for the cat hulls, I never got started on the hulls. I built everything but. Seemed like the way to do it. I have built the crossbeams, underwing panels, dagger boards with cases, rudders w/ stocks, pilot house components, fore and aft decks, outside pedestal, wing deck fairings and bulkheads, Delrin ball and socket for the rotating mast, (that was fun on the lathe). And more. Now I need to make a photo inventory and see if I can find a dreamer to take it on. Know anyone? Thanks for asking.
