Kevlar Racing Mainsail

I have a very nice, little used Kevalar mainsail from a Beneatau 310 First that has sat in storage unused for the past number of years.

Price $1000.00

Hey Guys,
Just remember Kevlar is not exactly a good long term sail material. We purchased a 6 y.o. yacht with a full set of Norths 3DL laminates, unused for 4 years and stored at home.
They had obviously got 'cooked' sometime in that storage and each one blew apart within weeks. The materials had delaminated, but this as not easy to see in initial inspection.
So whilst this sail may indeed be perfect, be careful.

North 3DL = "3 day life".... heh

Seriously, some of the exotic laminate racing sails are not built with long life in mind. 3DL in particular has a reputation for short life. But the fact that is it exotic doesn't necessarily mean that it will be no good in the longer term. The #1 & #2 headsails that came with my boat are kevlar reinforced dacron and are over 15 years old and still ok. One of my friends is currently using a 20 year old kevlar #3 and a 24 year old kevlar & dacron main.
