Kelly Peterson 44 Cutter

S/V Alyeska is a 1977 Peterson cutter colloquially known as a Kelly Peterson 44 or KP44. She is a 44 foot medium displacement cutter rigged sloop designed by Doug Peterson and built for Jack Kelly Yachts. Purpose built with the discerning cruiser in mind, the KP44 is a fast and comfortable passage maker able to cross the worlds oceans safely and efficiently.

S/V Alyeska is fully equipped for world cruising. She benefits from continuous preventative maintenance and timely upgrades and improvements. On board, you will find many new components including new sails , updated power storage, and rejuvenated refrigeration capable of effortlessly keeping ice cream rock hard in the tropics! She is equipped with a five kilowatt Northern Lights generator, solar panel array, large battery bank, high capacity water desalinization system, triple source refrigeration with ample storage space, air conditioning, and heating. She is currently docked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the historic Las Olas neighborhood.

Family matters motivate the sale. In the past several months we have been preparing for an extended long distance cruise. While Alyeska has received continuous preventative maintenance, we have made many additions and upgrades in preparation for our trip. She truly is as close to turn key as it gets. She shows well cosmetically as well as mechanically. For those that know the Kelly Peterson, Alyeska is a thoughtfully kept example. For those considering a KP44 for the first time, you will find an easy to manage and maintain, safe, reliable, fast and comfortable world cruiser and live aboard. She eagerly awaits her new owners and adventures to new ports of call. Please visit www.svalyeska.com for a full spec sheet and link to more pictures and video. Feel free to PM me with any questions you have.
