Inflatable wanted (In Mex) New/Used

I lost my inflatable dingy during a recent storm and am looking to buy another, used or new.*I am currently in Cabo San Lucas and will be sailing to Mazatlan, PV and then South to Panama.

I need a dingy that would fit on the bow if my 38' sail boat. I think maybe an 7'-8' inflatable would fill the bill.

If you are selling a used one? Or know if a dealer for a new one along my trip. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Hal S/V Second Wind

Any interest in a (virtually) new 12.5' porta-boat? I am south of PV about 100 miles.

Thanks for the reply but 12.5' would be too big to carry on my fore-deck.

Re: Inflatable wanted (In Mex) New/Used

There used to be a chandlery in PV, on the way south in to Old Town on the left side. I can't remember the name but it is the biggest in PV. They had a big selection of dinghys. Two or three major brands. It's not a cheap place though. You might be able to get one in La Paz but it might be special order (which could be the case in PV too but they had stock on hand when I was there two seasons in a row). You might get lucky finding a cruiser selling one. I'd get on all the nets and ask in each port and on the SSB nets. Good luck.

Re: Inflatable wanted (In Mex) New/Used

Zaragoza is the name of the chandlery.
Also, look into what Amazon.com has that may work. They offer new worldwide shipping on SOME items. I just had an ARB fridge/freezer shipped to me from Amazon to La Cruz. Amazing!
And, keep in mind, the porta-bote folds to 12.5' x 2' x 4". Think of storage more like a surfboard. You can stand it on edge and lash to the lifelines.
Good luck.

Must be Zaragosa? I will check them out when I get there next week.
Thanks!
