This unit has never been installed on a boat or seen any weather. it was on display at a store. The friction discs show no wear and there are no marks on the chain gypsy from running any chain thru.
It is rated at 900 lbs continuous working load (not to be confused with max load advertised by other manufactures). Gypsy is labeled to accept 1/4" HT chain which goes to 2600lb wll. The unit comes with 2 foot switches, remote switch, relays and fuse breaker mounted in a custom teak box, chain locker pipe, mounting hardware, and capstan rod. Works perfect. It will need to be refilled with oil due to shipping. The only issue is the cover for the chain locker pipe is missing. $1700 plus shipping. New cost is well over $3000. Located in Cleveland, OH.
