Ideal Windlass Model V1C-rev 12v - Like New

This unit was a display model in a store. It has never been installed on a boat or seen any weather. It is rated at 900 lbs continuous working load (not to be confused with max load advertised by other manufactures). Comes with 2 foot switches, remote switch, relays and fuse breaker mounted in a custom teak box, chain locker pipe, mounting hardware, and capstan rod. Works perfect. It will need to be refilled with oil due to shipping. The only issue is the cover for the chain locker pipe is missing. $2000 plus shipping. New cost is over $3000.

If it is a display model. Does it work or just a fake display?

Thanks, that helps a lot. Anything heavy and that doesn't come in a USPS flat rate box just gets too darned expensive when headed for Hawaii. I think Ideal is a great windlass. Let me check my chain size.

Ok, next question is what size chain does the gypsy take? I have 3/8" BBB galvanized.

After further investigation, I found out the markings on the gypsy indicate that it is for 1/4" HT. The gypsy can be changed out for a 5/16. But for 3/8 you have to go up in windlass size. Sorry
